ABOUT US

AFC Fylde Women FC currently play in the Northern Premier Division,  finishing 3rd in the 21-22 season. The club has a continual programme of development and growth with aspirations to secure promotion to the Women's Championship. We are proud to have Kellamergh Park Stadium in Warton, Preston - as our home ground a brilliant, family friendly ground with both standing and seating areas.

OUR HISTORY

In 2016 Fylde Women were formed, this was part of a rebranding of Preston North End Women FC of which the club association was changed to AFC Fylde, North End were formed in 1997 and were promoted into the women’s national league in 2006. In 2016 the team finished 2nd which was their highest ever position.

 

In 2017 Conrad Prendergast took on the managerial role and spent 3 years with the squad before departing at the end of the 2019/20 season when the club was almost disbanded. Kimberley Turner and Danielle Young took joint ownership and built up the foundations of the women’s section of the club, bringing in a completely new backroom team and a refreshed squad finishing 2nd in the null and voided 2020-21 season and 3rd in the 2021-2022 season.

 

Following Kimberley’s departure in July Danielle Young has taken the task of management for the 2022-23 season with the addition of 3 staff members to grow the team even further along with the addition of 5 new players.

​Ahead of the 23/24 season Jack Garside was appointed first team manager who brings a wealth of experience to the team together with his new backroom staff and a refreshed squad.
