This fixture takes place on Sunday 25th August, with kick-off at 2.00 pm. And to mark the August bank holiday weekend, the Club is hosting a Family Fun Day at Kellamergh Park.
There is free entry for under 12s, while season ticket holders of the men’s first team can also gain free entry by showing their 2024/25 season card upon arrival. Club mascot Syd the Seagull will be in attendance, and there will be stalls, games, and prizes to be won. It promises to be a fantastic occasion for all the family!
In their season opener last weekend, the Coasters twice had to come from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Barnsley FC Women on the Oakwell AstroTurf.
The Reds took the lead through Freya Walton, before Lois Moore quickly levelled for Fylde with a sublime strike from distance. With less than ten minutes remaining, Ruby Jex-Oldfield put Barnsley back in front, but Millie Tindall netted a dramatic equaliser minutes from time to ensure that the Coasters came away with a hard-fought point.
As for their next opponents, the Whites began the new season with a disappointing 2-0 reverse to Huddersfield Town Women at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
Simon Wood's Leeds started brightly but succumbed to two Terriers' goals scored at the end of each half. On the brink of half-time, Beth Ibbotson headed home from a corner to give Huddersfield the lead, before substitute Molly Firth doubled Town's advantage by finishing off a counterattack in the 90th minute.
While the Whites will be looking to bounce back from that defeat last time out, the Coasters will also be keen to make a strong start to their home campaign when they play in front of their own supporters on Sunday afternoon.
